About the faculty
The Technological-Metallurgical Faculty in Skopje is a prominent educational and scientific research institution, established back in 1959. Since 1965, it has been part of the University “St. Cyril and Methodius,” within which it operates to this day. Throughout its decades-long existence, this institution has made a significant contribution to the development of the Macedonian economy, primarily by providing highly qualified and appropriately educated professionals, while consistently following modern market trends and scientific developments. Over all these years, a considerable number of graduate engineers, masters, and doctors of science have been educated, who through their work have left a mark on the development of Macedonian society.
At the same time, the faculty is actively and continuously improving applied and research work, taking part in numerous research and development projects, as well as for the needs of the national economy, but also for educational and scientific purposes only. The main mission of the faculty is to continue to ensure the continued development of appropriate personnel, with the provision of a remarkable and high-quality teaching and research programmes, and to keep up the high reputation for their work, as well as to maintain, and improving the relationship with related scientific research institutes and university faculties.
In addition, the faculty is actively investing in improving the quality of teaching, the development of the curriculum and the development of competencies that are required in a modern society, such as analytical thinking, problem-solving, team working and use of new technologies. The commitment to quality is reflected in the continuous monitoring of the progress of science and technology, as well as in pumps to create an environment that encourages professional and personal development of the students.
With its tradition, experience, and commitment to the advancement, Technological and metallurgical engineering, Skopje, is an important pillar of higher education and scientific development in the country. As an institution that builds the future with more knowledge, innovation, and expertise, the faculty has continued to fulfill its role in the creation of a generation of engineers and scientists who will contribute to the development of the industry, the economy and the society as a whole.
